Brie Larson's Carol Danvers has a sensible shoulder-length haircut in Captain Marvel, but just like her comic book counterpart, she went through through more than one style before settling on the final version seen in the movie.
Andy Park, Director of Visual Development at Marvel Studios, shared some early concept art on Twitter which featured Larson in a familiar costume and a not-so-familiar hairstyle.
So how many times have YOU watched Captain Marvel? I watched it 6 times! But 4 of those were WIP versions. Here’s an early concept design version I painted up of #captainmarvel @brielarson pic.twitter.com/jQoYs9sg0z— Andy Park (@andyparkart) March 17, 2019
Park also showed his enthusiasm for the film by asking his followers, "So how many times have YOU watched Captain Marvel?" He goes on to note that his involvement with production meant seeing it from another angle: "I watched it 6 times! But 4 of those were WIP versions. Here’s an early concept design version I painted up of #captainmarvel."
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L.
