New photos from the set of Captain Marvel show stars Brie Larson and Clark Gregg beginning reshoots ahead of the film's March 8 release.
Larson and Gregg, who plays fan favorite Phil Coulson, were seen Monday on the Los Angeles set. While principal photography was completed in July, the photos on Just Jared confirm reshoots have indeed begun.
Larson is seen as Carol Danvers, wearing the green-and-silver Kree military costume and carrying notes. Gregg, meanwhile, is shown sporting VFX facial markers, which serve to aid in de-aging his character, as Captain Marvel takes place in the 1990s. Samuel L. Jackson, who reprises his role as Marvel Cinematic Universe mainstay Nick Fury, underwent the same process for his role in the film.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law in an undisclosed role, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, McKenna Grace and Annette Bening. The film arrives March 8, 2019.
