An international trailer for Captain Marvel contains previously unseen footage from the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster, including a direct nod to Avengers: Infinity War.

In a newly released Russian trailer for the MCU film, an extended sequence shows Nick Fury incessantly fiddling with his pager, much to Carol Danvers' annoyance. Before the duo enter a hanger where they presumably escape in a prototype Quinjet, Carol takes the pager from Fury to keep his mind on their mission.

The pager in question, of course, appears identical to the one used by Fury in the post-credits scene for Infinity War to contact Captain Marvel before he disintegrated after Thanos' climactic snap.

How Fury will use his pager to contact Carol after the events of Captain Marvel has yet to be seen, but the scene does setup a direct line of communication between the two that will be followed up on decades into the MCU's future.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Algenis Perez Soto as Att-Lass, McKenna Grace as a young Carol Danvers and Annette Bening in an undisclosed role. The film arrives on March 8.
