Captain Marvel Nominated for Best Hero, Best Fight at MTV Movie & TV Awards

5 Marvel Heroes That Are Better In The Comics (& 5 That Are Better In The MCU Films)

At this year's MTV Movie and TV Awards, Captain Marvel will be appearing in two categories: Best Fight and Best Hero.

The official Twitter account for the awards show tagged both actor Brie Larson and the Captain Marvel movie account to announce the nominations, while also encouraging fans to go to vote.mtv.com to cast their votes.

In the "Best Hero" category, Captain Marvel faces Ron Stallworth from BlacKkKlansmen, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, Tony Stark from Avengers: Endgame and Billy Batson from Shazam! 

As for the "Best Fight" category for her fight against Minn-Erva, Carol Danvers will again be facing Arya Stark, as well as Captain America, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Becky Lynch, Rhonda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.

Comic book films look to be dominating the MTV Movie and TV Awards this year, with Venom, Aquaman and Shazam! all receiving nominations. Meanwhile, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be competing for the prestigious title of "Best Film."
