A new Captain Marvel poster promoting the film's Japanese release has surfaced online and features a few previously-unseen images.
In the foreground of this international poster for the Marvel Studios film, fans can see a familiar image of Earth's Mightiest Hero in her red-and-blue costume radiating blue cosmic energy.
In the background, Carol is surrounded by fighter jets and two new images of her outside of her superhero costume. In one image, she's sporting her Air Force training gear against a hazy orange sky and the other finds her in the cockpit of a fighter jet. Both of these images are framed by the character's iconic star symbol.
Additionally, the text across the top of the poster roughly translates to, "Her story was lost. Her memories will change the world." Meanwhile, the text just above the film's logo says something along the lines of, "This is the story before the birth of the Avengers."
Finally, as the bottom of the poster makes clear, Captain Marvel will soar into theaters in Japan on March 15, one week after its U.S. release on March 8.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos and Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau. The film arrives March 8, 2019.
