The international poster for Captain Marvel highlights the fact that Carol Danvers is a daughter of two worlds: the Kree and her homeworld Earth, both of which will play a prominent role in shaping her identity as a hero.
In the poster, Brie Larson stands tall in her red and blue uniform. To the left, the poster recalls that the hero was a former United States Air Force pilot, while -- on the right -- Jude Law's Yon-Rogg is ready to train Carol to use her new powers and earn her place on Starforce. Starforce, the green-and-black armored military team working for the Kree empire, is pictured below Carol and just above the film logo.
When she returns to Earth in the year 1995, she will work alongside a young Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D to halt the war between the Kree and the shapeshifting Skrulls, represented by Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos. Along with a cat named Goose, who -- according to early reviews -- steals the show, the poster highlights Carol’s past, present and future, which will be further explored with her role in this April's Avengers: Endgame.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos and Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau. The film arrives March 8, 2019.
