Captain Marvel: Chan's Minn-Erva Gets Back to Work in Reshoots Photo

With reshoots for Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel underway, actor Gemma Chan posted a simple photo to Twitter to tease her return as the Kree soldier Minn-Erva.

The photo in question features Chan making a fist while wearing Minn-Erva's Starforce uniform and, of course, the makeup prosthetics that create the character's trademark blue skin. The photo is accompanied by a caption that reads, "Back to work..."

Minn-Erva is a member of the Kree strike force who serves alongside Carol Danvers, Mar-Vell, Ronan the Accuser, Korath the Pursuer, Att-Lass and Bron-Char. It was first announced that Chan would be playing the Kree spy this past February, with the official first look at Starforce in costume being released in September.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, McKenna Grace and Annette Bening in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The film arrives March 8, 2019.
