ESPN announced a new, exclusive look at Marvel Studios' upcoming film Captain Marvel will air during the College Football Playoff National Championship game between the Clemson Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide on January 7, 2019.At this time, it is unclear whether this will be another trailer or a behind-the-scenes featurette similar in nature to the Cinemark First Look footage that recently leaked online. This would certainly not be first time Captain Marvel has made her presence felt during televised American football games. In early December, the second official trailer for the next entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was revealed during an NFL contest between the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, McKenna Grace and Annette Bening in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The film arrives on March 8, 2019.
