A new featurette for Captain Marvel has been released. In the video, Brie Larson speaks about what she loves about Carol Danvers and how she feels about getting the opportunity to play the iconic Marvel hero.
According to Larson, Captain Marvel is one of the most dynamic characters the actor has played. Larson said she still finds jumping into the red and blue suit "incredibly surreal," and understands that the costume itself represents strong will. "She refuses to give up on herself," said Danvers of her character. "And she refuses to give up on humanity."
During the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, a new promo for Captain Marvel aired, continuing Captain Marvel's personal mantra of "Higher, Further, Faster," all while showing her getting up after being knocked down time and time again in her life. The '90s-set film also recently got a very era appropriate website that's sure to elicit feelings of nostalgia.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Algenis Perez Soto as Att-Lass, McKenna Grace as a young Carol Danvers and Annette Bening in an undisclosed role.
