Continuing what's become a Marvel Studios tradition, Captain Marvel looks to be dominating digital sales on FandangoNOW’s list of Top 100 sellers.
Captain Marvel arrived on Digital Tuesday, and it's first-day sales rivaled that of 2018's Black Panther, which is one of the all-time bestsellers on FandangoNOW.
"It’s clear fans want to see lots more of Brie Larson’s high-flying superhero, and are excited to watch all the bonus content, deleted scenes and outtakes, especially after seeing her in Avengers: Endgame," Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said.
FandangoNOW conducted a survey of those planning to stream Captain Marvel and the results showed 91 percent are re-watching the film after seeing the character in Endgame, while 60 percent plan to watch the film before going to see Spider-Man: Far From Home.
All previous Marvel Cinematic Universe titles have been listed on FandangoNOW’s Top 100. Those appearing near the top of the list include Spider-Man Homecoming, Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel’s The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Yon-Rogg, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Algenis Perez Soto as Att-Lass, McKenna Grace as a young Carol Danvers and Annette Bening as the Supreme Intelligence. The film is now available on Digital HD, and it arrives on Blu-ray and 4K UHD on June 11.
