A new meme online makes the case that Captain Marvel is a Disney princess.
A new trailer for Captain Marvel was released earlier this week, prompting a very enthusiastic reaction online. One fan on Reddit noticed that Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) actually displays all the traits of not just a Marvel hero, but of a Disney princess as defined by Disney itself in Ralph Wrecks the Internet.

One of the most popular scenes from the film saw Vanellope Sweet (Sarah Silverman) find herself in a room with all the Disney princesses. They ask her a number of questions to determine if she’s actually a princess like them. While Vanellope only shares one real trait with the other young women, Carol displays pretty much everything that they mention, especially the magic hands. Besides, if we have to nominate anyone to be the princess of the Marvel side of things, who better than one of the toughest heroes in the entire universe?
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, McKenna Grace and Annette Bening in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The film arrives March 8, 2019.
