A new piece of early concept art from Captain Marvel reveals a very different appearance for the Kree's powerful artificial intelligence leader, the Supreme Intelligence.

Marvel Studios senior visual development artist Jackson Sze shared the artwork via his Instagram account, showing Carol Danvers communing with the Supreme Intelligence at the beginning of the film while she was still a member of Starforce. The design for the artificial intelligence has her wearing white and gold robes with longer hair and a warmer, more personable approach than her final appearance in the film.

"The idea was that the Supreme Intelligence manifests herself differently to each particular individual," Size explained in the comments, "and Vers was always going to see a human version of the SI." This idea made it to the film, where it's explained by Yon-Rogg that the Supreme Intelligence takes on a different form depending on whoever communes with it, hence Carol's incarnation of the leader looking like her mentor Mar-Vell.
