While 2019's Captain Marvel depicted the Supreme Intelligence as a shape-shifting being portrayed by Annette Bening, a deleted scene reveals Carol Danvers actually came face-to-face with the character's more fantastical comic incarnation.

MCU Cosmic shared a screengrab from the deleted scene in which Captain Marvel is shown powering up while in front of the Supreme Intelligence, who is shown as a giant green head that closely resembles the character's original design from the comics.

The scene is included in the Infinity Saga box set, which features all 23 films that currently encompass the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As for Carol Danvers' future, it was announced that Captain Marvel directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck would not return for the planned sequel. Additionally, Marvel Studios has enlisted WandaVision staff writer Megan McDonnell to pen the script, and while the search for a female director is still underway, the film is targeting a 2022 release.
