The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Captain Marvel, Brie Larson, revealed she auditioned for several major franchises before landing the role of Carol Danvers.

"I auditioned for Star Wars too..." Larson said on her YouTube channel. "I auditioned for Hunger Games, I auditioned for the Terminator reboot. I actually was thinking about the Terminator reboot today because I got a flat tire and I was like, 'Oh the last time I got a flat tire was when I was driving into my audition for Terminator.' Got a flat tire at the audition, and then didn’t get the job."

Larson made her love of Star Wars known during press tours for Captain Marvel solo, in which she starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson, known for playing Jedi Master Mace Windu. She even persuaded Jackson to bring his lightsaber to the set of Captain Marvel for her to hold and examine.

The confession regarding her failed past auditions came as part of an introductory video Larson made for her newly launched YouTube channel. In the video, the actor chats with some of the platform's most popular creators, including Lilly Singh (IISuperwomanII), Justine Ezarik (iJustine), Mitchell Moffit and Gregory Brown (AsapScience) and Sean Evans (host of Hot Ones).

Larson's next project is Marvel Studios' upcoming Captain Marvel sequel.

Written by Megan McDonnell and starring Brie Larson, Captain Marvel 2 arrives in theaters July 8, 2022.
