While working on The Marvels, Captain Marvel actor Brie Larson demonstrated her prowess at another Marvel character's skillset."My hobby appears to be taking up new hobbies," Larson wrote on Twitter alongside two photos of her imitating Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye at archery. One photo shows Larson pulling back her bow string, while the other features her posing next to a target stand riddled with arrows, including one bullseye and four more lodged in the target's innermost gold ring.

Larson confirmed in mid-August that filming on The Marvels, the sequel to her 2019 Marvel Cinematic Universe debut Captain Marvel, had officially begun. It's unknown whether Samuel L. Jackson, who played a younger Nick Fury in Captain Marvel and is currently working on the Secret Invasion show, will make a cameo. However, Jackson recently hinted that he might through a post on Instagram, showing him wearing a shirt bearing the pager Carol Danvers gave him at the end of that film.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe does seem intent on keeping Fury and Danvers' partnership in the spotlight. The latest What If...? episode, saw Fury (voiced by Jackson) attempt to track down an assassin picking off Avengers candidates, briefly saw him contemplate using the pager and, after Loki initiated Asgard's takeover of Earth, officially called Danvers back to help him fight.

Renner, who also voiced Clint Barton in What If...?, will return for Disney+'s Hawkeye series, which follows the former Avenger as he trains Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop to be his apprentice post-Avengers: Endgame. In addition to exploring Barton's past during the time jump between Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, the show will also see the return of Black Widow's Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova.

Black Widow's post-credit scene set up a confrontation between Yelena and Clint where Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who officially debuted in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, tasks Yelena with killing Hawkeye under the claim that he caused Natasha Romanoff's death. By comparison, The Marvels will feature two other Marvel characters from Disney+ shows: Teyonah Parris' grown-up Monica Rambeau from WandaVision, and Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel, whose program may debut sometime next year.

The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris, soars into theaters Nov. 11, 2022.
