Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War will feature nearly every hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but does that include Brie Larson's Captain Marvel?

Rumors long swirled that Carol Danvers would make her debut in Avengers 3, ahead of the 2019 release of Captain Marvel. Although Infinity War co-director Joe Russo confirmed last summer that Larson wouldn't appear in the ensemble film, there remained a question about whether that was always the case. During a set visit attended by Screen Rant and other outlets, Russo offered clarification: Captain Marvel scenes were indeed filmed, but they were ultimately cut from the final product.

Asked which character in Infinity War had the best costume, Russo replied, "Is it ...? Where's [publicist John Pisani]? I can't remember if we -- Captain Marvel on set, is that official? If it's not, it's official now. I think Captain Marvel had a great outfit."

Fans got their first look in January at a different version of the costume Larson will wear in Captain Marvel. It’s worth noting that isn’t Carol Danvers wearing her traditional Captain Marvel costume, but rather what appears to be a Kree military uniform. One would assume the scenes Larson filmed for Infinity War displayed the color scheme most fans are used to seeing Captain Marvel wear.
