Captain Marvel has close ties to the United States Air Force, with many of its main characters being members of that particular branch of the military. Marvel Studios has released a new featurette in honor of Armed Forces Day, which was May 18.
The featurette shows Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Brie Larson (Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel) and Lashana Lynch (Maria Rambeau) talking about their experiences working with the Air Force for the film and thanking those who have served for doing so.
Captain Marvel has made over $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office so far, becoming one of the highest-grossing superhero movies ever in the process. The movie currently holds a 78% among critics on Rotten Tomatoes. As such, it seems unlikely we've seen the last of the superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Yon-Rogg, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Algenis Perez Soto as Att-Lass, McKenna Grace as a young Carol Danvers and Annette Bening as the Supreme Intelligence.
