After breaking ground as Marvel's first female-led superhero movie, Captain Marvel is poised to literally leave her footprint on the world with her own Adidas sneakers.The pair of shoes was unveiled on Twitter by comic book artist Jen Bartel. She designed the sneakers as part of a collaboration to celebrate the film's opening this Friday, which is also International Women's Day. The Carol Danvers-inspired shoes have a cosmic aesthetic to it, with the shoe clearly depicting the star-laden reaches of the galaxy while maintaining the character's core red, blue and yellow coloration. "I wanted to create a design that was extremely wearable but unique and still had some elements of my illustration work."

With the shoes launching on Captain Marvel's opening day, don't be surprised to see fans stopping at their local Foot Locker and decking themselves out in these kicks to take the Carol Corps fashion into the highly-anticipated film.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos and Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau. The film arrives on March 8.
