Captain America TV Spots Reveal New Footage, Lots Of Peggy Carter

Marvel and Paramount Pictures are once again revving up the marketing for Captain America: The First Avenger with two television spots that reveal new footage from the Joe Johnston-directed film and play up the character's transformation from weakling Steve Rogers to the Sentinel of Liberty. While we of course see plenty of star Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell and Tommy Lee Jones also get a share of the spotlight.

The movie, which opens on July 22, also stars Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Stanley Tucci, Richard Armitage, Natalie Dormer, Dominic Cooper, Neal McDonough and Samuel L. Jackson.

Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
