CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIERAnthony Mackie has been making the rounds for "10 Years" and teasing his role as the Falcon in "Captain America: The Winter Solider." In an interview with MTV, Mackie spoke briefly about the current status of the film.
"Marvel is really weird, because they don't let you look at the script," Mackie told MTV. "They're like, 'Listen, we brought back Robert Downey Jr., so you might want to be down with us,'" he laughed. "But there's going to be a lot of Anthony in a tight suit kicking ass. Everybody wanted me in spandex, and now you've got it -- hours of it!"

Mackie also spoke with Vulture more specifically about the Falcon and getting into shape to play the superhero.
"He's known for his physique. He's described as 6'3", 245 pounds, so starting Monday, for the next five months until we start shooting, I'm going back to high-school workouts and start doing two-a-days, so I get up to 230 pounds," Mackie told Vulture. "I'm going to try not to get a job between now and then, so I can really focus on this. Because Chris Evans is in such good shape! I'm just a dude he dragged into the lab that he injected with some shit, but I got to stand next to him. So we shall see!"
Rumors persist about Anna Kendrick's involvement in the "Captain America" sequel and the actress isn't giving anything up. In a recent interview, Ain't It Cool News asked Kendrick about her possible involvement in the film.
"All I know is that I can't really say anything," Kendrick said.
Not a confirmation, but far from a denial.
Finally, Chris Evans spoke with Collider about his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his interest in helping to develop the character's role as a bigger part of the MCU -- possibly with a cameo in "Thor: The Dark World."
"[Chris] Hemsworth and I even talked about that," Evans told Collider. "I would love to do a little thing in 'Thor 2.' It is obviously going to be tricky trying to work out the plot, the reason why I am not there to help him, and why he is not there to help me. But the best thing about Marvel is that, like I said, the movies were so good and we had such a good time making them."

THE WALKING DEADAs the season three premiere of "The Walking Dead" shambles closer and closer, more of the cast are speaking up and teasing things to come for the popular AMC series. The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Norman Reedus and Lauren Cohan about their characters, Daryl Dixon and Maggie Green respectively, and how they deal with the next step in their lives as survivors.
"With the turn of how things are going with the apocalypse, he's opening himself up to people and being respected in other ways and finding reasons to fight for certain people and be apart of a group," Reedus told THR of his character. "It's a big deal for him. With Shane being gone, there's more responsibilities ... but Daryl doesn't want the responsibility of taking over a group, he's just trying to fit in."
Meanwhile, Cohan noted how Maggie deals with joining Rick's band of survivors.
"What's exciting for Maggie now is she's still trying to find a sense of joy in what they're doing and joy in the victory of finding a safe-hold or in taking out some walkers," Cohan said. "She still stops to smell the roses when she can but it's ruthless and violent. The group before was on the road but now she's joined them on this and they're much more overwhelmed with the amount of walkers. She's still a farm girl at her core but she's seen a lot of death."

VIGILANT"Chronicle" screenwriter Max Landis and "Homeland's" Howard Gordon are teaming up for a new superhero television series called "Vigilant." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is billed as a superhero origin story told through the point of view of a 20-year-old female social outcast.
"After an honorable veteran detective is brutally coerced into working for the corrupt head of Internal Affairs, the detective's daughter plans her revenge by creating a fictional vigilante persona to take on the criminal elements within the police department and the city."
Landis, who created the show, will write the script and serve as executive producer.
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APESAccording to Deadline, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" director Rupert Wyatt will not return to direct the sequel. Deadline's sources say the situation is similar to Gary Ross' reasons for leaving "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" -- Wyatt did not feel comfortable with the May 23, 2014 release date of the film.

SHERLOCK HOLMES 3Jude Law spoke with Collider and expressed his desire to do a third film in the "Sherlock Holmes" franchise, even though there are no plans to begin shooting.
"There's certainly talk of it and I know there's a script being played around with, but Downey's a busy boy and I'm a busy boy so we'll see," Law told Collider. "But we want to [do another one]. We're a very happy team and we have a lot of fun and we also think there's still a lot of legs in the duo."
WIZARDS VS. ALIENSLooks like former "Doctor Who" showrunner Russell T Davies has a new show in store: "Wizards Vs. Aliens." It's exactly what it sounds like -- Wizards, not unlike Harry Potter, fight Aliens. The BBC has released a trailer that mashes up a number of shows on the network's CBBC programming slate, including "Wolfblood," so that's why there are also werewolves in the trailer.
