Captain America, Green Lantern, Tron Legacy: April 5th Comic Reel

The Los Angeles Times 24 Frames blog reports Emily Blunt has passed on a role in the film. "That leaves the studio to decide between several other people on its short list, including Keira Knightley and Alice Eve," writes 24 Frame's Steven Zeitchik. Also, just in case you haven't heard, Chris Evans is now officially Captain America.

Release date: July 22nd, 2011

Comic Book Movie continues its dedicated coverage of the film's production by finding shooting locations and spotting this report for ABC26 News:

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

While I was still driving up to San Francisco, the Encom press conference occured. We have a full report of the goings on here at CBR. Seems the even was hijacked by Flynn Lives supporters and Sam Flynn parachuting into the event. It's all part of the next phase of the ongoing ARG in support of the film.

Starring Jeff Bridges, release date: December 17th, 2010

The first clip from the film is up at the Apple trailer site. It's full of CG Iron Man goodness.

Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date: May 7th, 2010

Here at CBR, we have a write-up of the WonderCon press conference with the stars and director of the film. "This is a great world to be in and, as actors, you get all these scripts. The great thing about comic books is that the stories are original. There's this kind of ebb and flow in Hollywood. You get the same scripts over and over. Every romantic comedy reads exactly the same. In the world of graphic novels, there's some originality there. There's some great characters," said star Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, release date: April 23rd, 2010

At that same press conference, director Sylvain White mention he was interested in directing a film based on the mid-80s syndicated TV series. "The project is not fast tracked. There is no official thing. They sent me a draft and I liked it. It's a work in progress," said the director. IESB got a little more information about which set of characters would be featured in the film. "It's the first generation," he said. Reportedly, Harmony Gold, the company that owns "Robotech," is prohibited from producing new material featuring the first generation characters that originally come from "Super Dimension Fortress Macross" as the "Macross" story is owned by another company. Of course, this being movies, deals could have been made for a live action feature.

Release date: TBA

At WonderCon, Nicholas Cage briefly mentions the project. Latino Review has the video and, let's just face it, it's always fun to see Cage explain things.

Release date: TBA

During Geoff Johns' spotlight panel, the writer was asked about plans for a "Justice League" feature. According to Comingsoon.net, Johns replied "I can't talk about it. We'll talk in San Diego." Will DC's long awaited announcment finally happen at Comic-Con? Time will tell; it always does.

Release date: TBA

Pajiba reports the film is going in a new direction with, possible, a new star. "Not only is Rose McGowan out, but right now, there's an offer out to another actress to take the role. That actress? Megan Fox," writes Pajiba. If their source is to be trusted, the production is also looking for a new director.

Release date: TBA

Sylvain White has some choices to make. In the WonderCon press line, Collider asked him about various projects, including "Ronin."

Release date: TBA

Warner Bros sent over these great photos from the "Human Target" panel at WonderCon featuring stars Mark Valley and Jackie Earl Haley:

Airs: Wednesdays

The secret is out. I'm a "Doctor Who" fan and I just happened to be in the WonderCon screening of "The Eleventh Hour," the first episode featuring Matt Smith as the Doctor. I also happened to write about it for CBR. I quite enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to seeing it again when it airs.

Airdate: April 17th, 2010
