"Captain America: Civil War's" Mackie Clarifies His Comments about Ruffalo's Involvement

Last week, "Captain America: Civil War" star Anthony Mackie appeared to namedrop Mark Ruffalo when discussing the cast of the film. However, during an appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," he clarified that wasn't the case; he was praising his co-stars from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not just those in "Civil War."

"It's so ridiculous! I was giving respect to my fellow actors," he explained. "I said Marvel movies are so great because they have great actors -- the likes of Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. (Love that guy.) People take that to mean that I'm saying this is what the movie is about, and this is in the movie."

"The first rule of Marvel? Don't talk about Marvel," he joked.
