In "Captain America: Civil War," screenwriters Chris Markus and Steve McFeely were tasked with bringing big name characters -- like Spider-Man and Black Panther -- into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, they revealed a few more characters they'd like to introduce to the MCU.

When asked who he'd like to see at Marvel down the line, McFeely said, "Namor. He is kind of a jerk and has a chip on his shoulder and he is a king and lives underwater. The degree of difficulty is so high, though. 'Cause it could be a great movie or it could be truly terrible."

"I think it would be cool to make a Marvel Zombies movie but that would require a whole other wing or, at least, another dimension," Markus added.

In the comics, Namor -- also known as the Sub-Mariner -- is the prince of Atlantis. Originally introduced as an antihero, Namor never quite lost the chip on his shoulder, but he has since worked with the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Invaders, the Defenders, the X-Men and the Illuminati. The character almost got his own film at Universal in the late 90s, but ultimately nothing came of it and the rights defaulted back to Marvel Studios.

"Marvel Zombies" was a metaseries created by "Kingsman's" Mark Millar and Greg Land. "The Walking Dead" scribe Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips also contributed, creating a prequel and sequel series. "Marvel Zombies" imagines a Marvel Universe that has been infected and overcome by a zombie virus.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, "Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, 2016.
