"Captain America: Civil War" Lands Star-Studded Promotional Event in Bejing, China

In addition to its promotional event on April 19, "Captain America: Civil War" is rumored to hit theaters across China on May 6.

Marvel Studios will bring "Captain America: Civil War" to Bejing, China on April 19 for a promotional event featuring stars Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie as well as directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

Though the film's release date won't be announced until this event, Variety reports "Civil War" will open in theaters across China on May 6. Disney did not comment when reached by Variety. However, if the date is confirmed, that means China will premiere "Civil War" the same day as North America's wide release.

The film's premiere will take place in Los Angeles on April 12, about a week prior to the Bejing event. "Civil War" opens in theaters across the world over the last week of April and first week of May.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, "Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, 2016.
