If it's a Marvel movie, then odds are Stan Lee is going to make a cameo. As the co-creator of nearly every A-list Marvel superhero (including Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Black Panther, Hulk and many more), every Marvel Studios movie has honored Stan Lee by sneaking him into the movie -- and "Captain America: Civil War" will be no different. While speaking with Sydney's Nova 96.9, "Captain America: Civil War" co-director Joe Russo described how they tackle Lee's can't-miss cameos.

"[A]nd then, you know, as we work through the script, we look for a great cameo for Stan as we're writing you know, and that's our interaction with Stan," said Russo.

The co-director added that he thinks the cameo is relevant to the plot. "I think so," said Russo. "You're always looking to keep it different with him and you want to surprise the audience because they get a kick out of it, but you also want to make it relevant in some way, so he delivers a key piece of information in the movie."

In "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," the previous Marvel Studios film directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Stan Lee had a cameo as an overnight security guard at a museum who discovers that Cap's World War II suit has been stolen (by Captain America, of course, although Lee's character doesn't know that).
