One of the most-hyped video games slated for release next year is Marvel's Avengers, which brings Earth's Mightiest Heroes to their lowest point before reassembling stronger than ever. However, a new prequel tie-in comic book has revealed a familiar Captain America enemy may shape the team's future before the Avengers even get the chance to pick themselves up from the ashes.

Ahead of the release of its March 2020 solicitations, Marvel Comics has released the cover and solicit information for Marvel's Avengers: Captain America #1. The prequel comic to the upcoming video game reveals Batroc the Leaper acquires experimental new technology that may endanger the game universe's entire timeline, with Captain America hot on his trail to stop him.
