Star Wars actor John Boyega recently criticized Disney for its inability to write characters of color. Now, other actors are joining the conversation and providing a glimpse into their own Hollywood experiences.

Fellow actor Candace Patton, known for her work on the CW series The Flash, expressed agreement with Boyega's comments, as well as her gratitude for the Star Wars actor opening the door to the conversation. She wrote, "Similar experience. Similar feelings. Grateful for this."

Ray Fisher, known for his role as Cyborg in Justice League also spoke out on the issue. When a fan asked for a live discussion between Fisher and Boyega about their experiences in the entertainment industry, Fisher responded by explaining that accountability is greater than entertainment and that Hollywood would never be the same after this conversation.

Fisher has not been one to shy away from calling attention to issues in the entertainment industry. Recently, the Justice League actor called out former DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns for belittling his attempts to shed some light on director Joss Whedon's unprofessional treatment of the cast and crew of the Justice League.

Boyega originally claimed that he and Star Wars co-star Kelly Marie Tran were not given the same experience as their white co-stars: Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver. Their characters, Finn and Rose, were marketed differently and ultimately became obsolete by the end of the Star Wars sequel series.

The Flash is returning to The CW for Season 7 in 2021 and stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin and Danielle Nicolet.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
