The Flash is getting gross in Season 6.
According to Candice Patton, who plays Iris West-Allen on the series, she just filmed "one of the most disgusting scenes on The Flash." She posted the comment to Twitter alongside a "before" photo of herself, which appears below.
I shot one of the most disgusting scenes on The Flash yesterday. 🤢— Candice Patton (@candicepatton) September 19, 2019

This year, Team Flash will face Bloodwork, a villain who accidentally gained the ability to control the blood of others. Patton offered no hints about what this "disgusting" scene may entail, but it's easy to see where a power like that could get gross really fast.
According to the Season 6 premiere synopsis,
Team Flash spent the last year dealing with not one but two Cicadas, the return of Eobard Thawne (a.k.a. Reverse Flash), and the surprise arrival from the future of Barry and Iris’s daughter Nora West-Allen, (a.k.a. XS). The stakes were higher than ever during the season 5 finale, which culminated in Barry and Iris losing their daughter after only just getting to know her. How will they deal with saying goodbye to their speedster daughter, and what does Thawne’s escape mean for Team Flash?
Returning Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
