The militaristic mutant Cable has a pretty complicated family tree, especially when you factor in time travel, alternate dimensions and clones. Come May, one of the more fan-favorite members of that particular tree will return in a big way when Cable #152 reintroduces Nate Grey, the X-Man.
Nate Grey hails from the Age of Apocalypse timeline, where Charles Xavier's death in the past allowed the villain to conquer the world. Mister Sinister -- while serving as a Horseman to Apocalypse -- secretly used DNA from Cyclops and Jean Grey to create the X-Man as a weapon to be used against his master. Since Cable is the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey's clone Madelyne Pryor, it theoretically makes him Cable's half-brother.

The X-Man would make his way to the Marvel Prime Universe after the destruction of his timeline, where he would fight alongside the X-Men, become a mutant shaman, and also die, only to return to do battle against Norman Osborn's Dark X-Men. Before his absence from the X-books, Nate Grey was a member of the New Mutants.
