Marvel Comics continues to unveil more "Civil War II," with the publisher making a whole lot of tie-ins official this Saturday afternoon at C2E2 in Chicago, as part of the "Marvel: Civil War II" panel.
Along with the "Civil War II: Gods of War" miniseries from writer Dan Abnett and artist Emilio Laiso (read CBR's exclusive first interview with Abnett on the series), Marvel also announced a six-issue "Civil War II: Choosing Sides" miniseries starting in June, with a cover comprised of the previously released teasers illustrated by Jim Cheung. It's an anthology series akin to past event tie-ins like "Secret Wars Journal," exploring where Marvel characters fall in the Iron Man/Captain Marvel divide at the center of "Civil War II." The first issue includes contributions from creators Declan Shalvey (as writer and artist), Brandon Easton, Chad Bowers & Chris Sims, Goran Sudzuka and Leonardo Romero; starring Nick Fury, Damage Control and Night Thrasher.
Marvel also made a slew of "Civil War II" tie-ins for ongoing series official, including "All-New Wolverine," "Ms. Marvel," "Deadpool" and "Invincible Iron Man." Covers and details follow.
"All-New Wolverine" #9 by Tom Taylor and Marcio Takara (cover by Bengal) is set to star Laura and Old Man Logan.
Details are slim at this point on "Invincible Iron Man" #10 by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato, due to potential "Civil War II" spoilers.
"Totally Awesome Hulk" #7 from Greg Pak and Alan Davis is set to reveal what happened to Bruce Banner in the eight-month gap after "Secret Wars."
"Uncanny Inhumans" #11 from Charles Soule and Carlos Pacheco is billed as "Inhumans vs. Stark Industries," after Medusa seeks reprisal for something Iron Man does in "Civil War II" #2.
"Ms. Marvel" #8 by G. Willow Wilson and Takeshi Miyazawa (cover by Cameron Stewart) sees Kamala Khan drawn into the "Civil War II" conflict.
In "Captain America: Sam Wilson" #10 by Nick Spencer and Angel Unzueta (cover by Daniel Acuna), Sam Wilson is honoring a fallen hero -- feel free to start speculating as to who that may be.
"Ultimates" #8 from Al Ewing and Kenneth Rocafort brings a cosmic element to "Civil War II," with Thanos coming to Earth.
"New Avengers" #12 delivers "A.I.M. vs. S.H.I.E.L.D.," in an issue by Ewing and Gerardo Sandoval (cover by Julian Totino Tedesco).
"Nova" #8 by Sean Ryan and R.B. Silva (cover by Humberto Ramos finds Nova not really fitting in with Iron Man or Captain Marvel's positions during "Civil War II."
"Deadpool" #14 from Gerry Duggan and Mike Hawthrone sees Deadpool and the Mercs for Money dealing with a cosmic-level threat.
