When Kenny Omega shockingly appeared on Impact Wrestling, fans started dreaming of a Bullet Club reunion. Now, on AEW Dynamite, not only did the Bullet Club reunion happen, but it was an almost duplicate of the Omega version from New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

Omega defended his AEW World Championship against Rey Fenix in the main event and won with the One-Winged Angel. After the match, Omega's manager Don Callis motioned to the screen, and both of Fenix's partners in Death Triangle were getting beaten up backstage.

Omega threatened to take out Rey Fenix for good, but before he could, Jon Moxley saved Fenix. Then Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attacked Moxley and joined Omega in beating down the former world champ. This was huge since Gallows and Anderson work for Impact Wrestling and not AEW.

When AEW talent tried to stop them, all three beat down everyone in a scene very reminiscent of the nWo beatdowns in WCW during the Monday Night Wars of the '90s. The "invasion" of Impact Wrestling stars bore even stronger similarity top when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall invaded WCW to start the nWo angle.

Finally, after the three men beat down everyone, The Young Bucks came out and tried to get in between everyone. However, the show ended with the Young Bucks both super kicking AEW stars, and then all five men held up the Bullet Club "Too Sweet" hand sign, showing union.

The original Bullet Club featured leader Prince Devitt, who is now Finn Balor in WWE. Karl Anderson was one of the original members as well. Soon, The Young Bucks joined the group along with Luke Gallows. AJ Styles followed Balor as the leader, and he, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Gallows & Anderson were among the strongest factions in NJPW at the time, although Gallows & Anderson left for WWE when Styles did.

Now, in a moment that should change AEW and Impact Wrestling, The Bullet Club has reformed and looks to cause some damage to two different wrestling promotions as 2021 gets underway.

AEW Dynamite airs on Wednesday nights at 8/7c on TNT, and Impact Wrestling airs on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on AXS.
