The known roster of directors helming episodes for Season 2 of The Mandalorian has expanded to include Bryce Dallas Howard, who previously directed the Season 1 episode "Chapter 4: The Sanctuary".

Howard confirmed her involvement in an interview with Collider. In response to a question about her upcoming directorial pursuits, Howard stated, "I directed an episode on the second season of Mandalorian." She added, "That's already done, which is wonderful, so I'm looking forward to that coming out at the end of the year."

She provided no further details on her Mandalorian Season 2 episode. Howard will be one of a number of Season 1 directors returning for the upcoming season of the highly-successful Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, alongside Season 1 directors Rick Famuyiwa, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. Additionally, Peyton Reed, Robert Rodriguez and Carl Weathers -- who played Greef Karga in Season 1 -- will direct in the upcoming series.

Details regarding the upcoming season are scarce. It is known that Boba Fett will make an appearance and he will be played by Temuera Morrison, who is reprising his role as the Jango Fett clones from the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Production on Season 2 of The Mandalorian began shortly after Season 1 aired.
