Jim Lee has recruited another all-star artist to help with his charity auction.

Bryan Hitch has provided a drawing of Swamp Thing for the auction on eBay, which currently is listed at $1,1250. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation, which is helping comic book shops affected by the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

First created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, Swamp Thing is the alter ego of scientist Alec Holland, who developed a bio-restorative formula that would help stimulate the environment. A break-in at his lab led to Holland being doused with the formula, lit on fire, and stumbling into the nearby bayou. He arose as the Swamp Thing, a massive, hulking plant form that served as the avatar of the Green, an elemental force that connects all plant life in the DC Universe.

Swamp Thing would become the subject of an acclaimed comic run by Watchmen creator Alan Moore, which introduced the warlock John Constantine, and a short-lived television series on DC Universe, as well as other forms of media.

Hitch is best known for co-creating the Wildstorm superhero team the Authority with writer Warren Ellis, and alongside Mark Millar, revamped the Avengers for the 21st century with The Ultimates.
