Though it is only two issues in, Dark Nights: Death Metal has inspired a wealth of upcoming tie-ins, and more are on the way, according to Bryan Hitch. Hitch made an announcement about his future projects on Twitter, including a one-shot set in the world of Death Metal.Hitch said in his tweet, "so just to keep life interesting, as well as drawing the last two issues of Batman's Grave I'm writing and drawing a 48 page tie in to the Death Metal series. Good fun stuff." No further details about the one-shot were revealed.RELATED: Dark Nights: Death Metal #3 & Legends of the Dark Knights #1 Sell Out, Second Printings Ordered

The tie-in would join the line of one-shots expanding the world of Death Metal. Speed Metal features the Flash family in the race of their life, as the Darkest Knight seeks Wally West's godlike powers. Multiverse's End features the Trinity (Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman) recruiting different versions of their deadliest enemies from the Dark Multiverse. Finally, Legends of the Dark Knight will focus on the various Dark Knights that populate the Dark Multiverse.

Dark Nights: Death Metal features a DC Universe twisted into a dark hellscape by the goddess Perpetua and the Batman who Laughs. Wonder Woman has gathered several allies to harness energies from the various Crises that the DC Universe went through, in order to rebirth the universe.

Hitch is currently illustrating The Batman's Grave, written by Warren Ellis. Ellis recently had a two page story removed from Legends of the Dark Knights due to allegations of sexual misconduct.
