Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage are two of the most celebrated actors working today, and they're both two of the few actors who've appeared in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Fox's X-Men movies. While Brolin starred as Cable in Deadpool 2 and Dinklage was Bolivar Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past, both appeared in Avengers: Infinity War, with Brolin as Thanos and Dinklage as Eitri, the giant silversmith who helped construct the Infinity Gauntlet.
Now, the two superhero movie veterans will appear alongside each other in a very different kind of team-up film.
The actors are set to star in the upcoming comedy Brothers, according to a report from The Wrap. The film, which will be written by Tropic Thunder co-writer Etan Cohen, centers around two unlikely brothers (played by Brolin and Dinklage) coming together. Both actors will serve as producers on the film, alongside Andrew Lazar (American Sniper).
While most of the details about the project are currently being kept under wraps, the report does suggest that the film has some similarities to Twins, the 1988 Ivan Reitman comedy that featured Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito as a pair of unlikely twins separated at birth.
Brolin is set to reappear as Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, which is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and set to premiere on Apr. 26. It is currently unknown if Dinklage will reprise his role for the film as well.
