Captain Marvel star Brie Larson recently revealed her character's name in the upcoming Fast X.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe star shared an image on social media, featuring her cast member chair on the set of the Fast and Furious film, confirming her character's name is Tess. As for the rest of her character, details are currently being kept under wraps.

Following the immense success of F9, a sequel announcement was quickly made. The ninth instalment in the long-running action franchise grossed a total of $726.2 million at the worldwide box office against a budget of $200 million, ultimately becoming the fifth-highest grossing film of 2021.

Fast X was officially announced in April 2022, during filming. At the time, Justin Lin was attached to direct the project, before eventually stepping down due to creative differences. Despite this, his name still remains attached to the film as a screenwriter and producer.

Cardi B will be reprising the role of Leysa from the aforementioned F9, whereas actor Jason Momoa will be portraying the film's lead villain. Though details are scarce, the Aquaman star previously expressed his excitement at playing a villain, unlike his most well-known roles, and teased, "He's very sadistic and androgynous and he's a bit of a peacock… He's got a lot of issues, this guy. He's definitely got some daddy issues."

Fast X is scheduled to be released in theatres on May 19, 2023.
