Marvel Studios may be preparing to finally release the first trailer for Captain Marvel. Brie Larson and Entertainment Weekly are announcing something "Marvel-ous" at noon on Wednesday, September 5.The news began with an exchange between Larson and the Entertainment Weekly Twitter account, with the Captain Marvel star asking if they should break the Internet, to which EW replied, "Yes! Of course, all speculation will immediately go to the release of an official trailer for Captain Marvel, but there is the possibility the announcement could be for something else pertaining to the Marvel Studios film. Could it be the release of a poster containing all the characters set to star in the flashback film? Or news of another addition to the cast? One thing to consider is Entertainment Weekly being involved with the news. The site usually runs a group of exclusive images from movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so what we're more than likely to see tomorrow are images of the cast along with details pertaining to the plot. However, with Captain Marvel set to arrive in six months, time's running out for Marvel Studios to give fans its first taste of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, McKenna Grace and Annette Bening in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The film arrives March 8, 2019.
