While Season 2 of Netflix's Bridgerton won't see the return of Regé-Jean Page, it will welcome newcomer and Charmed star Rupert Evans.

According to THR, Evans -- who's also known for his role in The Man in the High Castle -- will play Edmund Bridgerton, "a loving and devoted husband whose true love match with Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) gave them eight children."

Evans is the latest addition to the Season 2 cast, which also includes new faces such as Shelley Conn, Calam Lynch, Charithra Chandran and Rupert Young. His casting also comes shortly after Netflix renewed the series for Season 3 and 4.

"The creative team, led by Shonda, knew the material and delivered a beautiful, emotional, romantic drama for our members. They have some exciting plans for the future, and we think audiences will continue to swoon for this show. We’re planning to be in the Bridgerton business for a long time to come."

Bridgerton stars Simone Ashley, Phoebe Dynevor, Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan, Claudia Jessie, Ruby Barker, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, Luke Newton, Ruth Gemmell, Polly Walker, Charithra Chandran, Rupert Young, Julie Andrews, Shelley Conn, Rupert Evans and Calam Lynch. Season 2 has yet to receive a release date.
