Brian Cox is Game For 'Pixels'

Brian Cox is game for anything — including an Adam Sandler comedy.

Cox, who originated the William Stryker role in X2: X-Men United and starred as Captain O'Hagan in Super Troopers, is set for a new comedy in the form of Pixels, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Directed by Chris Columbus, film focuses on Earth in the midst of an alien invasion, after extraterrestrials misinterpret video feeds from classic arcade games as a declaration of war.

Kevin James plays the President of the United States, forced to call upon an old friend (Sandler) to lead a team of arcade experts against the invading aliens. For his part, Cox plays a "military heavyweight" named Admiral Porter.

Pixels hits theaters on May 15, 2015.
