Brian Michael Bendis has offered a rather unorthodox reward for his entry into the #Creators4Comics initiative. The Superman writer has posted original art from his creator owned title Pearl, with the promise that the winning bidder will appear as one of Pearl Tanaka's victims in a future issue.RELATED: Over 100 Comic Creators Join to Aid Stores Affected by COVID-19Bendis announced the prize in a tweet, saying, "For #Creators4Comics I'm auctioning: Pearl will murder you in an upcoming comic drawn by Michael Gaydos."

Part of Bendis's creator owned imprint Jinxworld, Pearl follows the life of tattoo artist Pearl Tanaka, who serves as an assassin for the Yakuza. Tattoos often appear on her skin, depending on her emotions. The project reunited Bendis with one of his frequent collaborators, Michael Gaydos; the two previously created private eye Jessica Jones for Marvel Comics.

Bendis is one of the masterminds behind the #Creators4Comics initiative, which has several comic book creators auctioning off original art and signed comics. All proceeds from the auctions will go to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC) to help support local comic shops who have been shut down or lost revenue due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Over 100 creators have joined the initiative to date.

The Pearl auction ends on April 20th.
