Powers creator Brian Michael Bendis has announced he'll be a guest on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers on Jan. 20 to discuss the upcoming television adaptation of Powers, as well as comics and other subjects.

"I’m a kid from Cleveland going on the same show where Harvey Pekar went to war with Letterman," Bendis wrote on his blog, noting that Late Night is his favorite talk show. "This is so crazy huge to me."

Late Night with Seth Meyers seems to be an appropriate platform for the longtime comics scribe, especially considering that Meyers --  former head writer of Saturday Night Live -- actually has a history with Marvel. A comics fan, Meyers collaborated with fellow SNL alum Bill Hader in 2009 on Spider-Man: The Short Halloween. He also created the Hulu original animated series The Awesomes, which puts a comedic spin on familiar superhero and comic book tropes.

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs daily Monday through Thursday on NBC.
