Brian Michael Bendis is leaving the Marvel Universe, having signed an exclusive deal with DC Comics to helm Superman's new adventures. But before he departs for DC's comic book universe, the prolific writer has a few marvelous loose ends to tie up.
One of the biggest involves the current mystery surrounding Tony Stark in Invincible Iron Man, where the missing hero recently (and secretly) made his return. Of course, Tony's whereabouts is just one storyline the series has been tackling, but Marvel's solicitations released earlier today make it clear Bendis and a cadre of A-list artists will wrap up the current chapters in the ongoing sagas of Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, and Victor Von Doom. Plus, before he's done, Bendis will introduce a new supervillain to the Marvel Universe, adding one more entry to his long list of accomplishments over the past two decades.

Bendis has been writing for Marvel Comics for more than 17 years, beginning with the debut of Ultimate Spider-Man in 2000. Invincible Iron Man #600 arrives in May 2018.
