Brett Ratner may have missed out on his chance to tackle swords and sorcery with Conan, but it looks like the controversial director is giving the fantasy genre another shot in a brand new Hercules film.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Ratner is in talks to direct producer Avi Lerner and Millennium/Nu Image's long-developed Hercules tale. Little is known about the new approach to the classic mythological tale except that "it's expected to bring Lerner's classic action ethos to the larger-than-life character."
Lerner developed the Hercules film for more than three years before handing the directorial reins over to Ratner. Insert joke about how that's a lot of time to spend on a project before passing it off to a very unreliable at best filmmaker here.
