Bryan Cranston, the Emmy-winning star of Breaking Bad, will appear in the two-part season finale of FX's animated Archer, The Huffington Post reports.

Speaking with Maureen Ryan and Ryan McGee on their podcast, Archer creator Adam Reed revealed the actor will play Commander Drake, an "earnest, conscientious astronaut" fighting to stop a mutiny on the International Space Station.

The series, which begins its third season on Jan. 19, follows suave but self-centered super-spy Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) of the International Secret Intelligence Service, as he deals with global espionage as well as his domineering mother, and head of ISIS, Malory Archer (Jessica Walter), his fellow agent and ex-girlfriend Lana Kane (Aisha Taylor), and her ISIS comptroller boyfriend Cyril Figgis (Chris Parnell).

Reed teased that Jack McBrayer of 30 Rock and Michael Rooker of The Walking Dead will also appear this season, voicing the brother of ISIS employee Ray Gillette and a corrupt sheriff, respectively. And then there's Burt Reynolds, who portrays himself in the season premiere.

Archer returns Thursday, Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
