'Breaking Bad' Teaser: 'My Name is Ozymandias'

It's all about to come crashing to an end: Breaking Bad returns for its final eight episodes in less than two weeks, and a new teaser gives solid insight into what to expect.

The teaser features haunting shots of the New Mexico desert and iconic locations from Breaking Bad, including the RV meth lab and Walter White's residence. Bryan Cranston narrates the piece, reading a chilling rendition of the famous Percy Bysshe Shelley sonnet "Ozymandias." It reads as follows:

I met a traveller from an antique landWho said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stoneStand in the desart. Near them, on the sand,Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,Tell that its sculptor well those passions readWhich yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:And on the pedestal these words appear:"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"Nothing beside remains. Round the decayOf that colossal wreck, boundless and bareThe lone and level sands stretch far away.

It's worth nothing that "Ozymandias" is the name of one of the final Breaking Bad episodes, the description for it reading, "Everyone copes with radically changed circumstances." The poem certainly clues us in on what those circumstances might be.

In addition to the new teaser, two other bits of noteworthy news for Breaking Bad fans: Sony has commissioned a two-hour Breaking Bad documentary that will explore the show's behind-the-scenes action and history. It'll likely be available as an exclusive extra on the full-series home video collection.

Further, there's a Breaking Bad exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York right now, running until October 27. Creator Vince Gilligan was on hand for the premiere of the exhibit, during a sit-down chat with Charlie Rose — a chat that yielded a few spoilers. Read Vulture's recap at your own risk.

Breaking Bad's end begins Aug. 11.
