WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Breach, now available in select theaters and on demand.

John Suits' action/sci-fi flick Breach ends with the heroic stowaway Noah (Cody Kearsley) and his pregnant girlfriend, Hayley (Kassandra Clementi), crash landing on New Earth after the destruction of the Hercules ark. Following an infection aboard the spaceship that turned most crew members into zombies being controlled by a vicious parasite, Clay (Bruce Willis) ejected the couple via space pod before blowing the vessel up.

It destroyed hundreds of thousands of lives that were meant to travel to the last bastion of humanity, but the couple's relieved -- not just because they made it out alive, but because it means the infection won't reach this haven. But that really isn't the case as the last sequence shows, which sets up a few riveting options for a sequel.

The Alien Walking Dead

The parasite was released by Teek, an engineer who belonged to the Resistance -- a cult of humans who felt like they shouldn't repopulate a new home due to their destructive ways. It liquified people's insides, making them part of a hive mind, hunting to then spread the virus. Unfortunately, in the finale, Noah spots a young girl near the lake they crashed at and when she turns around, it's clear she's infected.

She attacks, causing Noah to unleash his flame-thrower on her. A sequel can now venture into post-apocalyptic territory a la The Walking Dead, with humans banding together to stop those infected. Conversely, the cult may have sent secret members over on previous arks over to infiltrate New Earth to bring society down. These extremists would be loyal to the parasite, creating a dramatic civil war that could inhibit people like Noah fighting the undead, proving mankind really is the monster.

A New Breed of Kaiju

Upon crashing, Noah and Hayley spotted a giant kaiju-like monster swatting fighter jets out the air. This is a larger version of the meat monster they fought on the Hercules. This creature's formed when zombie body parts string together thanks to the hive mind, and on New Earth, since there's a military, there'd be more bodies available to make these Godzilla-like monsters.

A follow-up can feature Noah and the survivors working with the army to kill these giants. The legion would have an advantage, though, seeing as how Noah knows the chemicals and weapons needed to kill zombies from his tenure as the Hercules' janitor. However, they could run into problems as they don't know the nature of these creatures and how New Earth's atmosphere enhances them. Teek admitted his cult experimented on the black goo on Earth, suggesting it was a prehistoric entity they found that existed way before mankind, so it could evolve as an apex predator into something deadlier.

Finding the Mastermind

Before the meat monster was destroyed on the Hercules, a humanoid stepped out, suggesting this was the master. With the infection still existing on New Earth, this entity could be alive in one of the other creatures, so hunting it down could become the primary mission for the military. Noah knows they operate like a pack so it'd make sense to cut the source's head off, thus killing the rest of the minions.

The military may also be working on a cure if they're able to find scientists who were part of Teek's sinister cell and who are now willing to redeem themselves after seeing the hell they unleashed. Noah learned a lot from Clay and Hayley's dad, the Admiral (Thomas Jane), so he could become a leader everyone would follow. He's perfect to convince extremists to make a U-turn and engineer a plan for a cure, or to track the leader.

Directed by John Suits from a screenplay by Edward Drake and Corey Large, Breach stars Cody Kearsley, Bruce Willis, Rachel Nichols and Thomas Jane. The film is in theaters, on demand and digital now.
