Hercules isn't technically a god but he's the son of Zeus, making him of a divine lineage. He's one of the most powerful Olympians and has been a member of the Champions and the Avengers. He's been fighting the good fight for centuries and while he's known for being a boisterous party-boy type of hero, he's also one of the bravest and fiercest defenders of the innocent.
The Lion of Olympus earned that nickname by being running towards every threat out there and punching it in the face. His zest for life has motivated him to make sure that others are protected and he stops at nothing to ensure this, battling any evil in his way.
8 The Celestials Stop At Nothing In Their Inscrutable Goals
The Celestials are some of the most powerful beings in the universe. They traveled the cosmos for eons, engineering life and going about their unknowable goals, silently judging all beneath them. Calling them brave isn't exactly correct, since no one knows why they do anything, but one thing is for sure: nothing stops them from going about their business.
The Celestials rarely face beings more powerful than them but when they do, they go all out. They have no fear at all because the only thing that matters to them is their goals. They'll fight anything that stands between them and what they want.
7 Galactus Will Stop At Nothing To Feed
Galactus is one of the most powerful cosmic beings, but he's not all-powerful. While he has the full might of the Power Cosmic on his side, if he hasn't fed in a while, he's easier to defeat. Even at his weakest, nothing will stop him from feeding and he'll fight any foe. He's known for being a cosmic predator but he will fight for the universe because if it's destroyed, he will have nothing to eat.
Galactus has battled some of the most powerful beings in the universe in order to help save his feeding grounds. While it's selfish, that doesn't make him any less brave.
6 Hela's Realm Is Full Of Horrors & She's Inured To Fear
Hela is the Norse goddess of death and as such, she's basically above fear. As ruler of one of the most terrible Asgard's Realms, Hela is surrounded by terror at all times but it never phases her. She's also found herself battling against powerful beings more times than anyone can count and yet never backs down.
Hela is a fierce combatant and like other Asgardians, backs down from no one. She's as skilled as she is powerful and will battle any foe in her way without flinching. Hela is powerful but her bravery is impossible to deny.
5 Lady Sif Is One Of Asgard's Fiercest Warriors
In Norse mythology, Sif was Thor's wife and in the Marvel Universe, she's been his lover but has always been his equal. She doesn't wait for the threat to reach her but goes out and seeks it. Danger means nothing to her and when Asgard is on the line, she puts on her armor and straps on her scabbard.
She's also left the Golden Realm to go on adventures with Thor and their friends in the Warriors Three, facing down all kinds of threats in the greater universe. Sif has long proven to be one of Asgard's bravest defenders, a skilled warrior who embraces danger and fights anything in her way.
4 Balder Is A Staunch Warrior Like Few Others
Balder is a brother of Thor and known as the Light-Bringer. Much like his brothers and friends, like Sif and the Warriors Three, Balder has battled Asgard's foes for millennia. He has faced down terrible foes and is one of Thor's greatest allies, a god who stops at nothing to defend his people from the threats in the Realms and beyond.
While Balder hasn't adventured outside of Asgard as much as other Asgardians, there's no denying his bravery when it comes to defending his home. He's a tireless Golden Realm defender and will battle anyone who threatens it.
3 Odin Has Faced Down The Universe's Terrors For Millennia
Odin is the most powerful of the Norse Gods, the All-father, and bearer of the Odin-Force. In all the long years of his life, he's battled all kinds of terrible foes in order to protect Asgard and the greater universe, even facing the Celestials. There are few dangers he hasn't faced over the years and the sacrifices he's made to protect creation are legendary.
Thor gets a lot from his father. Odin was Mjolnir's original bearer and inspired the later heroism of his son. He set an example for all of Asgard, his bravery blazing a trail that all of his people would follow. It doesn't matter what the fight is, Odin will fight it.
2 Loki Is Braver Than He Seems
Loki is one of the greatest villains in the Marvel Universe and while his pragmatism has caused him to retreat in battle, it's hard to deny that he's brave. He's put his life on the line for Asgard in his younger days constantly and later in life, would battle against his old friends and family in order to get what he felt was his due. While he has never been the toughest fighter in Asgard, he'll stop at nothing in his often-nefarious goals.
Loki's battles against the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe have proven that he's brave. He's lost more times than anyone can count and yet he still tries to defeat them, going through scheme after scheme in order to win. He keeps fighting for what's his no matter what.
1 Thor Is Asgard's Bravest Son
Thor's bravery is well known. Before he ever joined the Avengers, he was battling frost giants, fire demons, dark elves, trolls, and every threat against Asgard. Since being sent to Earth to learn humility, he's more than proven his bravery, battling against some of the greatest threats in the universe. If there's a fight coming, Thor runs toward it.
Thor will do anything to protect the weak or help his friends. It doesn't matter how powerful the foe is, Thor is going to hit it with Mjolnir. There's no cowardice in Thor and he's proven to be the bravest of the brave.
