Bradley Cooper has attached himself to the package for "Deeper," the spec script from writer Max Landis.

Variety reports that "White God" director Kornel Mundruczo is also set to helm the drama, produced by Landis and David S. Goyer. The project is being shopped to numerous studios, including Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate and Searchlight; a deal is expected soon.

Announced in November, "Deeper" is characterized as a psychological drama about a disgraced astronaut who sets out on a mission to reach the bottom of a newly discovered oceanic trench, thought to be the lowest point on Earth. There, he finds himself in a psychological, and physical, fight against unexpected forces.

"Deeper" steps into the spotlight only weeks after Netflix shelled out $90 million for Landis' cop thriller "Bright," with David Ayer potentially set to direct and Will Smith and Joel Edgerton attached to star.
