Star Brad Pitt had an interesting way of keeping the mood light on the set of 1994's Interview With the Vampire.

Kirsten Dunst, who co-starred in the big-screen adaptation of Anne Rice's classic novel when she was just 11-years-old, recalled her experience making the movie in an interview with EW. When asked how she handled the film's serious subject matter at such a young age, Dunst said, "The darkness was always balanced out by fart jokes by Brad."

Dunst also discussed how Tom Cruise helped her land her breakout role as Claudia, a centuries-old vampire trapped in the body of a child. "I was the tallest girl [at the last audition]. So he had me tuck my legs under, so I looked shorter when he picked me up," she revealed. "I felt like he was already like, 'I like this kid.'" Dunst went on to say that both Cruise and Pitt "treated me so sweetly," adding, "I was such a princess on that set."

In the 1994 film, directed by Neil Jordan, 18th-century vampire Louis (Pitt) recounts to a reporter (Christian Slater) how he became a vampire at the hands of the charming and sinister Lestat (Cruise). The film was a major success at the box office, grossing $223.7 million worldwide against a production budget of $60 million. Cruise was already a bonafide movie star at the time of the film’s release, while Pitt was still an up-and-coming actor whose résumé included memorable supporting roles in films like Thelma & Louise and A River Runs Through It.
