Brad Pitt & Christian Bale Want to Make the Banks Hurt in 'The Big Short' Trailer

Paramount Pictures has released a new full-length trailer for "The Big Short," the biographical comedy-drama starring Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling.

Based on the 2010 book by Michael Lewis (“Moneyball,” “The Blind Side”), the film tells the true story of four outsiders who anticipated the financial crisis of 2007-08 and came up with an idea: The Big Short, a bold investment that leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking.

Directed by Adam McKay, the film also stars Hamish Linklater, John Magaro, Melissa Leo, Marisa Tomei, Finn Wittrock and Karen Gillan. “The Big Short” opens Dec. 11 in select theaters and nationwide on Dec. 23.
